At Origin all are welcome. I strongly believe in working in partnership to attain your best possible health outcome. Your best outcomes are unique to you. It may be an increase in mobility, improved posture and strength. It may be reduction or elimination of pain, returning from or support during injury, and many other unique situations

Caron Shallish
Bsc (Hons) - Ost UK - Registered Osteopath
Roots :
Originally from South Africa I moved to the UK in 2003 and completed a 5 year Osteopathic degree at Oxford Brookes university. Nearly killed me but allowed me to leave behind a corporate career in computing and become immersed in the wonderfulness of Osteopathy. I arrived in NZ in 2011 with my cat, a suitcase and have worked in Whangarei, Hawkes Bay , Wellington and Cambridge.

Modus Operandi :
I work with a large cross section of the community, every person is different.
I tend to work with a combination of soft tissue techniques, gentle joint mobilisation, fascial release and cranial techniques

When not at work :
I am currently training for a 1500 KM bike packing trip in March 2025, Wondering if the 'doer upper' we bought in Leamington was such a good idea - spending a lot of time 'doer uppering'. Hanging out as a family with our woolly dog Rosie who is the eternal optimist and happy bug
